What cookies WordBlitz ⚡ uses, why, and how you can turn non-essential cookies on or off at any time.
This Cookie Policy explains how WordBlitz ⚡ ("WordBlitz", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices available to you. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying logged in) over time. Similar technologies — like browser local storage — serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy. Cookies set by us are “first-party”; cookies set by other domains (such as a sign-in provider) are “third-party”.
You're in control. Open your preferences to turn non-essential categories on or off — the scripts that set those cookies won't load until you allow them.
We group cookies into the following categories:
Keep the site working — signing in, security, and remembering your cookie choice. These are always on and can’t be switched off.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | WordBlitz (first-party) | Maintains your logged-in session while you use the site. | Session (cleared when you close the browser) |
| remember_me | WordBlitz (first-party) | Keeps you signed in between visits when you choose “remember me”. | 30 days |
| _csrf_token | WordBlitz (first-party) | Security token that protects forms and actions against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). | Session |
| wb_cookie_consent | WordBlitz (first-party) | Remembers your cookie preferences so we don’t ask on every visit. | 6 months |
Set only if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook. Those providers may also use them for their own security, analytics and advertising. Blocked until you allow them.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Sign-In (g_state, and others set by Google) | Google LLC | Enables “Continue with Google” and remembers your Google sign-in state. | Up to ~1 year (set by Google) |
| Facebook Login (fr, sb, datr, and others set by Meta) | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Enables “Continue with Facebook”. Meta may use these for security and its own analytics/advertising. | Up to ~1 year (set by Meta) |
Let us show ads that keep WordBlitz free to play, including ads inside the game. Google may use these cookies to measure ads and (where you allow it) personalise them. Blocked until you allow them.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense / Ad Placement API (__gads, __gpi, and others set by Google) | Google LLC | Serves and measures display ads and in-game ad breaks, and limits how often you see the same ad. | Up to ~13 months (set by Google) |
When you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, those providers set their own cookies and process your data under their own policies. We load their sign-in software only after you opt in to the “Third-party & social sign-in” category above.
We also load fonts and front-end libraries from content delivery networks (for example Google Fonts and jsDelivr). These do not set cookies on our site, but the provider may receive your IP address and standard request data to deliver the resource.
In the EEA and UK, we place strictly necessary cookies on the basis that they are
essential to provide a service you have requested; all other cookies are set only with
your consent (GDPR/ePrivacy). You can withdraw consent at any time, and doing so is as
easy as giving it. We record your choice (the categories you allowed, plus a timestamp
and version) in the wb_cookie_consent cookie so we don't ask on every
visit; if we materially change our cookies, we'll ask again. We do not sell or share
personal information collected via cookies.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example when we add features or change the tools we use. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, ask for your consent again.

Choose which cookies WordBlitz may use. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site can’t work without them. Everything else stays off until you turn it on — and the scripts that set those cookies won’t load until then. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
