These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, solo and tournament gameplay, leaderboards, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboards or tournament brackets is prohibited (see Acceptable Use).
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

Gameplay & Tournaments

Solo Play lets you race the clock on a randomly generated 4×4 to 6×6 letter board at any time. Tournament Arena places you into a scheduled bracket against other players, each round subject to its own registration window and time limit, as shown on the tournament page when you register.

• Tournament brackets, round deadlines, and player counts are set by us and may vary by event.
• Missing a round's deadline may result in forfeiture of that round, as described on the relevant tournament page.
• We may cancel, reschedule, or adjust a tournament (including its bracket or prize structure) where reasonably necessary — for example due to insufficient registrations, technical issues, or suspected abuse — and will act reasonably when doing so.
• To keep brackets moving, some matches may be filled or played by automated players; this never changes how your own score is calculated.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, word lists, or other automated or assistive tools to play on your behalf or to solve boards faster than gameplay intends.
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended behavior in the board generator, timer, or scoring system instead of reporting them to us.
• Create multiple accounts to gain extra entries, manipulate matchmaking, or inflate leaderboard standings.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other players, or submit offensive display names or profile content.
• Attempt to access another player's account or any non-public part of the Service without authorization.

Violating this section may result in score voiding, tournament disqualification, or account suspension or termination as described in Suspension & Termination.

Scoring, Prizes & No Gambling

Scores, leaderboard rank, and tournament placement within the Service have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for money unless a specific tournament page expressly states otherwise. Where a tournament offers a prize, eligibility, value, and fulfillment terms will be disclosed on that tournament's page and form part of these Terms for that event. The Service is a skill-based word game; it is not gambling, and no entry fee guarantees a prize outcome based on chance.

Intellectual Property

The Service — including its board-generation system, scoring logic, design, graphics, and "WordBlitz ⚡" / "WordBlitz" branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates optional third-party sign-in (Google and Facebook) and loads certain resources from third-party providers. Your use of those features is also subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and enabling them is your choice — see our Cookie Policy.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict access to specific features such as tournaments, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in cheating or abusive behavior, or created risk or legal exposure for us or other players. Where practical, we will notify you of the reason. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting us.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, scores, or tournament standing, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Disputes
